Abortion Doctor, Kermit Gosnell, Charged With Murdering Babies

Kermit Gosnell used scissors to murder babies

Earlier this year, an abortionist in Philadelphia was arrested for his practices. Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the abortionist, is now facing eight murder counts for seven live baby abortion killings, and one mother.

One of Gosnell’s victims was La Toya Ransome. Ransome had her abortion in 2007, when she was just 19 and she was approximately 18 weeks pregnant. This happened at the Women’s Medical Society in West Philadelphia.

At those times, she stated that in the waiting room it does not look dirty at all, but inside the room there are blood stains in the table where the utensils are. This is one basis of accusation of Gosnell’s reusing of unsanitary instruments and performing the procedures in filthy rooms. In addition to that, he also allowed unlicensed employees to operate and administer anesthesia. He is also not certified to conduct abortions.

His ways are bone chilling, especially on how the live babies were killed. He would induce labor for the pregnant women who were sometimes as many as eight months pregnant. After a live birth, Gosnell would use scissors to cut into a baby’s neck to sever the spinal cord, killing them.

There are also some cases that Gosnell forced the women to undergo abortion. One of the victims stated that, she was fully dressed at a time, but Gosnell managed to take them off and tied her down to the medical bed.

Currently, Ransome has not yet decided if she is going to file a lawsuit against Gosnell. On February 9, 2011, Gosnell is expected to appear on court. According to Gosnell’s attorney, his client hopes that there is no rush to ruling in this case.
