A new phone application shows users locations to receive free condoms

Attempting to spread the issue of safe sex, New York City Health Department officials released an application for smartphones that lists places were interested consumers can grab free condoms throughout New York City.

The application will show five different locations based on the address of the user, and it will show directions for walking, driving, or taking the subway.

Officials behind the development of this new application explain that the primary goal is to offer a convenient solution for younger individuals to practice safe sex, and to make it very easy for the consumers to find condoms.

Last year alone, consumers received around 36 million free NYC condoms.

Currently, the application is free for consumers with an iPhone or Android phone.
